Amber brings almost 30 years of hands-on experience, passion, and big-picture thinking to the disability sector—and now to CEIN. Her career spans everything from Australian Disability Enterprises (ADEs) to Day Programs, Disability Employment Services (DES), Capacity-Building Supports, and Complex Care. She even spent four years inside the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), gaining a behind-the-scenes understanding of how the system works—from scheme design to funding rules and decision-making.

Now, she’s putting that hard-won knowledge to work at CEIN, where she’s helping grow the organisation while keeping it nimble and ready to meet the ever-changing needs of participants—and the shifting NDIS landscape. Amber is known as a change-maker who blends deep sector knowledge with a fresh, future-focused approach to service delivery.

What sets Amber apart isn’t just her impressive CV—it’s her lived experience. She has a rare neurological disorder and navigates the NDIS firsthand. She’s designed and built her own Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and even became a registered provider to manage it herself. That personal journey gives her leadership rare empathy, authenticity, and clarity—whether she’s building person-centred supports or decoding complex NDIS guidelines.

Amber’s also a pro when it comes to writing reports that count. Her in-depth knowledge of Reasonable and Necessary (R&N) decision-making helps CEIN’s allied health team produce reports that are not only clear and thorough but actually lead to better outcomes for participants. With her guidance, every report tells the NDIA what they genuinely need to know — highlighting functional impact, need, value, and the real difference quality supports can make.

Driven by honesty, insight, and a collaborative spirit, Amber is a perfect fit for CEIN’s values. She’s all about building strong, empowering relationships between providers and participants—and making sure people with disabilities and their families live fuller, more supported lives.

And when she’s not assisting those within the disability sector? Amber’s helping animals find their forever homes. She’s a foster carer and case manager with a Victorian not-for-profit animal rescue charity, proving that her passion for care extends well beyond her day job.
